Dear Family & Friends,

God is good! We are okay, despite what many of you have viewed in the news regarding the political troubles that is currently affecting Thailand. We would however, appreciate your prayers for this nation in general & Bangkok in particular which is the seat of the government.

The country’s economy has been okay thus far despite the global financial meltdown. However, if the political situation does not blow over soon, speculators say the beginning of next year may not be so good. The shutting down of the international airport yesterday is greatly affecting the major industry of Thailand which is tourism.

Borrowing Paul’s words: I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
