It’s The Women’s Turn
The Women’s Ministry took to the stage (and the pulpit!) when they were given charge of the last Sunday worship service of September.
Always dynamic, Sis. Emi Padla jumpstarted the program with a rousing call to worship. “Lola Linda” Tolentino traded her kitchen apron for a microphone and led the congregation in lively singing unto the Lord, ably backed up by some of ICS men’s better halves. After a wonderful time of corporate praise, Sis. Emi returned to the stage, this time with an all-women choir, in a joyful chorus of “That’s Why We Praise Him.”
Before turning over the pulpit to Ptr. Jerry, Sis. Emi announced the WM’s upcoming “Thanksgiving Bazaar” in November, as well as their “Project Scraps“.
Ptr. Jerry aptly spoke a powerful message on the life and influence of one of the Bible’s most significant women entitled, “Esther: Why We All Need to be Purpose-driven People”. After the Word was spoken, Ptr. Jerry called all the birthday- and anniversary celebrators of September to come to the front, where they were prayed for by Ptr. Jesse Dedel.
The Women’s Ministry D-groups meet every Sunday at Martha’s Café (also known as the Fellowship Hall). They are led by Sis. Emi and Sis. Beth Mantilla. All the ladies are invited to join them for an intimate and inspiring time of fellowship and study every week.
