Godspeed Teacher Joy!
Sis. Geraldine Salazar, or “Teacher Joy” to her co-teachers, the Sunday School kids and their alumni, said goodbye last Sunday to ICS in obedience to God’s continuing call on her life. Teacher Joy has been ICS’ Sunday School coordinator since 2005.
Together with her husband, Pastor Lawrence, they will head back to their hometown in Isabela province to fulfill God’s new assignment for them - to pastor a local church. The Salazar couple will bring with them their two children, Ruhama and , as they prepare to do the work of the Lord in Isabela.
They were prayed over and formally commissioned by Ptr. Jerry Balbuena and the Sunday morning congregation last April 13, 2008. After the service, the Pastors and the Sunday School teachers held a lunch fellowship in their honor.
Sis. Joy and Pastor Lawrence, may God bless you as you continue your work for the Kingdom of God! - your ICS Family.
