Last May 25, CROSSLinC spent their Sunday afternoon at The Lord’s Assembly in Quezon City to take part in the Assemblies of God Youth Rally entitled, APAW(All-Out Praise and Worship): Detonate. It was an afternoon that showcased the talents of Section 2 Youth and also some guests from Kansas, USA. The event started with a wonderful and refreshing time of praise and worship. It also featured a couple of very moving human videos.
Though we didn’t get to finish the event because most of the youth were only allowed until 5 pm, we got to listen to a wonderful message from Pastor Shawn, who was the youth pastor heading the missions team from Kansas. He spoke about Samson and Delilah. He explained that each of us has our own “Delilah”, which meant that each of us had something – a sin - that sucks our spirit dry and eats us up inside. He shared his story on how God delivered him from his “Delilah.” The message struck each one in the auditorium. It challenged each one to live wholly for God and to surrender their respective “Delilahs” to Him.
It was a very inspiring and challenge-filled time. The youth who received the message will definitely detonate God’s Love and Good News of Life to their families, friends, and classmates.
