The quest for a brighter future for our young people continues as the ICS scholars grow in number thanks to the generosity of people who have decided to give back and be a blessing to others.

As of June 4, 2009, a total of P 481,150.00 have been collected, of which P 406,321.36 have been disbursed, giving us a balance of P 74,828.64. This display of generosity, not only by the local members but also of ICS members who are now residing, has allowed us to increase the number of our scholars from the initial 3 to 8 for this school year 2009-2010.

We are also pleased to announce that one of our first scholars, Danj Baga, has already passed the nursing board exam and is currently applying for a position at the Davao Medical Center.

This school year 2009-2010, the ICS scholarship fund is supporting the following students:

1. Jevy Baga – 4th Year BS Medical Laboratory Science, San Pedro College Davao

– Formerly of ICS Mayflower, now based in Davao

2. Feliza Jonatas – 3rd Year BS Nursing, Jose Rizal University

– ICS Manggahan

3. Peter Petallo – 3rd Year BS Business Administration, Rizal Technological University

– currently on the Dean’s List

4. Joanna Marie Laxamana – 2nd Year BS Business Administration, Rizal Technological University

– ICS Nagpayong

5. Chip Balbuena – 2nd Year BS Communication, Letran College

– ICS Mayflower

6. Fatima Joy Mercado – 1st Year BS HRM, Jose Rizal University

– ICS Mayflower

7. John Christopher Tayco – 3rd Year BS Business Administration, Rizal Technological University
